Aren’t You Uncomfortable?

Pearl loves to be comfortable. She has very little natural padding so she usually likes to curl up on the couch or the bed and make a little nest of blankets for herself. But sometimes I find her in the most awkward positions and I wonder how she can possible be comfortable.

Using the couch as a pillow?

Are you enjoying lying on those shoes?

What the heck is this position?

Do you think you are a person, sitting like that?

Am I the only one who finds my dog in silly or uncomfortable-looking positions?

Ahh, now THAT looks comfortable

About Pearl the Puppy

Pearl is just over 40 lbs of energy mixed with a pinch of crazy. We adopted her in March 2011 from a St. Louis rescue organization called Impact for Animals (now Pet Rescue Network). We are unsure about her age, but we are guessing she was born in Fall 2010. Her background is anybody's guess, but we are pretty sure that she has at least some sighthound in her. She's a whole lot of trouble but a whole lot of fun.

  1. Sometimes I think my dog tries a position, then finds himself too lazy to leave it. for instance, lying on the ground outside, he was arranged so that his neck was pressed against a chair leg and his nose was directly on top of a little sprig of grass. And I watched him spend the n ext 10 minutes trying to flatten the tickly leaves witih his face, because moving his head was clealry not an option. Cute photos:)

  2. Frequently, Elka looks very comfortable. She does, however, seem to curl up in the tiniest Doberman shrimp ball possible! Either she takes up a single cushion, or the entire couch, based on how she’s laying!
